Talking about a staycation, I want to share my staycation experience with you. I have a day staying in Ketapang Indah Hotel, and it's a totally excellent and recommendable place! There are plenty of things to enjoy starting from; the vast green garden, restaurant, bar, pool, spa, and beach. Not merely a place to stay but also a destination to go. At least that is a sentence of impression I got for Ketapang Indah Hotel.

Located on the coast of Banyuwangi, Ketapang Indah Hotel is one of the finest hotels in the area. At an affordable price, it offers you cozy rooms as well as cottages dispersed across expansive green garden landscapes shaded by mature coconut palms. Moreover, the concept is unique, with contemporary-styled amenities embellished with traditional Javanese hospitality. If you're looking for a family-friendly hotel, you might consider staying here.

Things You Can Do in Ketapang Indah Hotel

A day staying in Ketapang Indah Hotel is far from the word boring. That’s because you can do a lot of activities here from check-in to check-out time. I know that the room quality is important, but the facility we can enjoy is so often underestimated. So, here I will share with you a to-do list while you’re having a staycation at this hotel.

1. Enjoy the Cosy Room

The most important thing is finding the most suitable room for you. Consider who you’re coming with and what view you want to get. As we mentioned, there are rooms and cottages in various sizes and prices. You can get:

• Standard room, with an estimated price around: IDR 700,000

• Superior garden view, with an estimated price around: IDR 850,000

• Cottage pool view, with an estimated price around: IDR 900,000

• Family room, with an estimated price around: IDR 1,200,000 and

• Ocean suite room, with an estimated price around: IDR 3,500,000

All the rooms offered here are comfy and has the same neutral-styled decoration. If you want the luxury experience, you can get the ocean suite room. As you can guess, it gives you the scenery of Bali strait right from the room’s window. But for me, the cottage pool view room is fine since it’s affordable, has a panoramic garden view, plus it is near to the restaurant, pool, and seashore.

2. Relax in A Serene Landscape of Coconut Palms

There are some pavilions and benches provided for you in the garden area. Sometimes the hotel staff will utilise this gazebo for the ordered romantic dinner, but most of the time, this place is free to be used by the guests. Here you can have small talks with your family or friends. You can also conduct a small picnic and enjoy the snacks you have brought.

3. Swimming in The Pool

The pool seems like the typical facility a hotel must-have, and it might sound so ordinary. But, what’s unique about the swimming pool in Ketapang Indah Hotel is; that it uses the concept of an infinity pool with a view of the seashore and Bali straits. Of course, you can see Bali island too from where you’re swimming. Moreover, there is a bar near the pool with some rattan pool chairs for you to relax. Imagine how leisure it is to relax here after swimming. You don’t need to make any effort to have the meals since the bar is right next to you.

Aside from the adult's pool, there’s a set of playground and kids pool behind the bar. There’s a white beach sand for kids to play with, the pool is also shallow so it is safe for kids to play there. Both the kids and adults swimming pool is open from 06:00 AM.

4. Try The Delish in Marlin Restaurant

From coffee and tea to mocktails, Indonesian to western delight, appetisers as well as desserts are available. The same menu goes both for Marlin restaurant and the bars near the pool. Aside from the delicious food, you can also gaze out at the garden, coastline, and Bali straits from here. In the afternoon, you can witness several boats passing by in the Bali strait, and in the evening, you can enjoy the blinking lights from Bali island.

The hotel guests usually have breakfast in the restaurant, which is open from 06:00 AM to 10:00 PM. For the bar, it is open from 10:00 AM to 09:00 PM.

5. Get a Spa

Hotel is the best place to relax, right? And there’s nothing wrong with enjoying the Spa massage here. Relax in a variety of Javanese traditional massages, body scrubs, and foot baths that will refresh your soul, body, and mind in this serene area of the hotel. You can have a try with the 30 minutes head and shoulders quick massage, or if you want to thoroughly enjoy the massage; try the 2 hours mix service. What’s more, you can enjoy the spa with your loved ones with the couple pax!

6. Get Up in The Dawn and Watch Sunrise

What’s more enticing than watching a sunrise on seashore of the ‘sunrise-of-java’ district? I mean, you can be one of the first people who watch the sunrise on the island. And this one experience is something you should not miss while in ketapang Indah Hotel.

As we mentioned before, Ketapang Indah Hotel is located on the coast of Banyuwangi district. You can get access to the beach right from the hotel area which means all the hotel guests can relax and play on the black sand beach, including watching the sunrise from here.

Final Thoughts

With the vast landscape of gardens and various facilities, I highly recommend this hotel to everyone, especially for those whose aiming for a family stay. That’s because the facilities are kid-friendly and playful whether from the playground, pool, or beach.
