You want to visit Banyuwangi but aren't sure where to go? Take an opportunity to visit the triangle diamond. Triangle Diamond are the three most popular tourist spots in Banyuwangi, according to the local government. It's termed a diamond triangle because when you connect the three places on the map, it forms a diamond-shaped triangle.

But I think the name resembles the beauty of these destinations pretty well. And for those of you who love adventure, the triangle diamond is a perfect choice for you because they all offer more just the beauty of nature but also the incredible experience of adventure.

Triangle diamond consists of three destinations, they are; plengkung beach or G-Land, Ijen Crater, and Sukamade Beach. Have you ever heard about them? If you haven’t then you should read this article until its last word. Because we will get you acquainted with those three destinations.

1. Plengkung Beach G-Land

The first destination to mention is the well-known surfing beach, G-Land. G-Land (at least that’s how the surfer called it) is a beach located in Tegaldlimo sub-district of Banyuwangi, this beach is a part of Alas Purwo National Park. The beach is located in a cluster on Java's South Coast, directly opposite the Indian Ocean, so it's no surprise that the waves are big and challenging. At their peak moment, the waves at Plengkung Beach may form a nearly perfect tube-like shape. Isn't it cool?

Plengkung Beach is a heaven for every surfer, it offers them many kinds of waves that can reach 8 metres high. This beach is ideal for a professional surfer to put their skills to the test.

For those of you who can't surf. Plengkung beach is still a fantastic spot for all rookie surfers and even for those of you who don't surf. You may visit the strong forceful breaks and admire the panoramic pristine coloured beach with its white sand. You may also attempt to visit the other locations surrounding the beach, which are located inside the

Alas Purwo National Park.

Next is the Ijen crater, more precisely it’s a crater located at the mount ijen in the Banyuwangi and Bondowoso district. Ijen Crater is a well-known tourism attraction among foreign tourists. It is a crater lake of Mount Ijen which has a depth of up to 200 metres. It is a volcanic complex in East Java that is acknowledged as one of Indonesia's must-see sites.

The turquoise-coloured lake in the crater of mount ijen is literally dazzling, a lot of people from various countries come just to see the beauty of Ijen crater. But, there's something more scenic than this, and it's the blue fire, neon-coloured lava that only exists in two places in the world. In mount Ijen of Indonesia and mound Dallol of Eutopia.

The blue-coloured lava is rare compared to the typical orange to red coloured lava. This phenomenon happens because of the burning sulphur gas in large amounts and at high temperatures. The view is unarguably beautiful. People are eager to ascend the mountain in the middle of the night just to see how beautiful it is.

The third place of triangle diamond is sukamade beach. Sukamade beach is a part of Meru Betiri National Park located in Pesanggaran sub-district, Banyuwangi.

Not merely a panoramic beach, sukamade beach also offers you the incredible experience of conservating sea turtles. From the observation of the egg-laying process, egg hatching and releasing the baby sea turtle to the sea. Isn’t it mind-boggling to think that each turtle may lay up to a hundred eggs at once? And the chance to release baby sea turtles to the water is also an interesting experience.

While you’re at Sukamade beach, you may also explore Sukamade Beach's other attractions, such as the mangrove forest and the river within the forest, where you can view sea terns, albatrosses, roko-roko birds, and other animals. Despite the fact that it is a long and difficult path to get there. It's all worth it for the unforgettable experience.
